Ashot Grigoryan was born in 1983 in Yerevan, Armenia. He graduated from Yerevan State Academy of
Fine Arts. His figurative compositions are created by love stories and landscapes. Learning and
experimenting are important strategies for him. After spending time in small villages in Armenia, he has
been motivated by a spirit of nature and by the idea to find creative solutions to environmental issues. His
works were featured at group exhibitions in Armenia, Estonia, France, Germany, Canada and USA. Ashot
is a member of the Artist's Union of Armenia and continues his creative journey in Armenia.

Bezug nehmend zur Schweizer Kultur und Geschichte soll mein Projekt während meines Aufenthalts in Brig zwei Ziele verfolgen:1) Durch Beobachten möchte ich definieren, wie hier die urbanen Ausdehnungen die lokale Umgebung beeinflussen. Dabei gilt mein Interesse Plätzen und Grünanlagen Ich werde aber auch in umliegende Städte reisen und mir Wissen aneignen über Schweizer Geschichte und Architektur. In meinen Bildern werde ich bildhauerische Elemente und Muster einbauen. Um das Sichtbare mit dem Unsichtbaren zu verbinden. 2) Möchte ich auf Ortspezifisches fokussieren um lokale Eigenheiten hervorzuheben um so durch Visualisierung Verständnis zu schaffen.
