Mein Name ist Sayumi und ich bin eine Malerin aus Japan. Ich habe die Gelegenheit erhalten von Oktober 2015 bis Februar 2016 in Brig an einem eigenen Projekt zu arbeiten. Für Letzteres suche ich noch Familien mit kleinen Kindern in Brig, die bereit wären sich von mir interviewen zu lassen. Es spielt dabei keine Rolle, ob sie schon seit mehreren Generationen in Brig leben oder erst zugezogen sind. Es soll beispielsweise gefragt werden, woher sie kommen und weshalb sie in Brig leben. Nach dem Interview werde ich die Befragten fragen, ob ich ein Bild von ihren Kindern malen darf. Kinder sind für mich interessant, weil sie erst wenigen Umwelteinflüssen ausgesetzt worden sind und sie in ihrem Wesen noch kaum unbeeinflusst sind, im Vergleich zum späteren Leben. Mir geht es darum in meinen Kunstwerken den Ursprung der Menschen zu malen und dieser tritt in seiner ursprünglichsten Form in unseren Kindern zu Tage.
